Learn to speak the horse's language

Don’t jerk the reins; don’t raise the whip;
Don’t beat and kick me when I don’t understand you.
But rather give me time to understand you.

WELCOME!

Did you know that horses have their own language? Of course horses don't speak like we do, with words, but they communicate with each other through body signals, this is what we call 'body language'.

Since our earliest childhood, we have had a love for horses and riding was one of the first things we learned.  But somehow the style of riding we were taught ('English' riding) was never entirely at our satisfaction;
with spurs, bridle and whipour beloved horses were forced into obedience. Riding instructors told us: "the horses need the whip or they will not obey". Horses can not express pain as dogs or cats do, most horse lovers do not even realise that they inflict pain on their beloved animal!Discovering this was an eye-opener to us and we decided to explore further possibilities and embarked upon a violence-free training and riding style.

For the last 16 years we have been riding without bit or bridle, and we know that any horse, young or old, can be trained as such. Sometimes we use the bitless bridle developed by Dr. Robert Cook.

So let us invite you to this new journey; we will show you how to learn and understand the language of horses. We would  be happy to welcome you to one of our courses,  the children's or youth camp.

If you have any questions about horses, write us an E-mail. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
